Therapy and counselling, rooted in self-awareness
Bismah Habib
I am Bismah Habib, a clinical psychologist and the founder of Khud Aagahi. I have conducted over 3,000 therapy sessions under supervision and hold certification as a Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I) from the Arizona Trauma Institute. If you would prefer to speak with a female clinical psychologist, every session is with me.
I started Khud Aagahi so that teenagers and adults can work with a qualified psychologist online, from wherever they are.
Most of the people I work with come to me for help with:
Qualifications and experience
- MPhil in Clinical Psychology, Bahria University
- Bachelor’s in Psychology, Bahria University
- HEC-trained in Culturally Adapted CBT for addiction (adults and caregivers)
- Conducted workshops and lectures for clients in addiction recovery
- Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I), Arizona Trauma Institute
- Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention in Clinical Practice, Arizona Trauma Institute
- Neurodevelopmental Disorder and Play Therapy, Kazim Trust
- Mindfulness for Life, Center for Arts-based Methodologies and Wellbeing (CFAW)
What Khud Aagahi is built on
Awareness first
I start by understanding what is happening for you and why, before any advice or plan.
Strengths, not labels
Support builds on what is already helping you cope, rather than starting from a list of problems.
Facing what is hard
I help you build the strength to face difficult things, rather than avoiding them or facing them alone.
A strengths-based approach
What you can expect
No judgement
A space where you are not judged, whatever you bring.
You set the direction
You decide what we focus on, and we move at your pace.
Your opinions matter
Your view of your own life is taken seriously here.
Heard and understood
I am here to listen and understand you, not to hand you opinions or tell you what to do.
